Happy Easter!

We sure did enjoy Grandma being here to help with dying the Easter eggs. I was one tired Momma and Grandma picked up my slack. ;) The boys sure were excited to wake up to their baskets from the Easter bunny. The Easter egg hunt is postponed until another day and I'll post pictures as soon as the weather clears. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter day.

I have a confession to make....

I'm not the most organized person, as most of you probably already know. Today I finally cleaned the boys' drawers and closet and ORGANIZED them. I even went as far as laminating name tags and putting them on their drawers. I had to take pictures so I can remind myself I CAN DO IT! :-)

Ethan's hat for the day. We make many interesting pieces of head gear for him throughout the week.

This morning I walked into the kitchen and found Ethan holding a marshmallow on a stick. I asked him what he was doing and he replied, "catching a fly". He makes me smile!

UCA's Spring Fling

Today after the gym we headed to the University of Central Arkansas's Spring Fling. Everything was free and we took advantage of all of the fun rides and yummy carnival food they had there. It was a bit windy and cool, but a hoody and jeans were just perfect in making it enjoyable. Ethan is such a sport and will do anything that the "big boys" do. When we first got there Dylan had said he wasn't even going to try to climb the rock wall, but he impressed himself once he put the harness on and tackled it like a pro. Mom, Dad and Bryson stood back and ate cotton candy and funnel cake from a distance.

Our Easter egg hunt with the Mormons

We were invited to go to an Easter egg hunt with Jennifer, the boys' babysitter, at her church. And, we had a good time! Ethan brought home the most eggs and had so much candy his little belly was hurting. Dylan was held back a little, as he was one of the older ones. After the five minute hunt for eggs we had a pot luck supper and was able to sample many wonderful dishes. YUMMY! We will be going back to celebrate Easter with my mother, Mrs. Jennifer and her family.

Ethan's tulip

Ethan is very proud and wanted a picture of his tulip he had planted back in September. This particular flower has been through a lot - digging, raking, PLENTY of watering, etc. The kids have given it more than enough attention. :-) You have to look close at the bulb, maybe even click on the photo to enlarge it - the sun was directly behind this morning causing the picture not to be the greatest.
UPDATE: Dylan will be attending another chess competition, Co-op Arch Ford Chess Tournament, in Perryville, AR on 29April. Dylan hasn't been practicing chess as much as I would say he should in order to go and compete with "the big dogs" of chess. But, he is sure of himself, so I'll sit back and watch. :0) We are very proud of Dylan and will continue to support him and all of his dreams.
